And That's What Makes A Tour

So I decided instead of posting lots of updates about how our Nauvoo tour went, I decided I'd just post pictures. A picture is worth a thousand words, and much nicer to look at then lots of descriptions.

Living Legends, what are we gonna do?

Call Me, Maybe?

While on tour, Living Legends always tries to make a music video and I'd have to say that this one from our Nauvoo tour turned out pretty good. All the credit goes to Lauren. She's the bestest.

Abraham Lincoln

A few weeks ago I was in Springfield, Illinois at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. I've been to quite a few museums before, including the Smithsonian, but nothing can ever compete with this museum. It was amazing. I went with my dance group and we first had the opportunity to perform for all the people in the museum.

And after that the real fun began. We got to go on a tour with one of the curators of the museum and he told us about the whole process of the beginning of the museum. It was really great to get to hear all about the museum, there was definitely a lot I learned during our private tour.

If you ever have the chance to go to this museum you HAVE to see the two movies there- Ghosts of the Library and Lincoln's Eyes. We saw Ghosts of the Library first and it was amazing. They take you into a room that looks like you are looking into a library. The actor comes out and tells you stories about Lincoln but they use some sort of holographic images to tell the stories. Think of when the Indians in the Pocahontas movie use smoke to tell stories, that's exactly what they did!
The second movie, Lincoln's Eyes, was in a different theatre. It was a movie. You sit down in seats in the Union Theatre and then they draw the curtains. Up pop three different movie screens, giving you an almost panoramic movie viewing experience. But this is no ordinary movie, it almost feels like something you would experience at Disneyland. With chairs that vibrate and dramatic sounds, you feel like you are actually there in the 1800's experiencing the Civil War and other events.

Coolest Thing Ever

So I'm super technologically challenged, so when it comes to anything computer related, I'm pretty much a hopeless cause. But I just found out that you can make your own GIF images! Cuhrazy!

Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto

Today was Jordan's farewell. He was called to serve in the Tokyo Japan Mission for two years. I've never heard of a mission call more perfect for anyone than the Tokyo Mission for him. He's Asian at heart.

Can you believe I've known this kid when I was still taller than him? I've known Jordan since we were about 4 or 5. I moved away for a few years but then I moved back to the same neighborhood and he still lived there and we've been great friends ever since. Jordy you're gonna do great!
