Children of the Corn

Bestie and I went to Cornbelly's last weekend for a corn maze. We had a blast! Every year Cornbelly's has a theme for their corn maze. This year? Presidential elections. At the beginning of the corn maze, you get to chose if you want to go through Obama or Romney. It was so funny hearing everyone's comments throughout the maze saying, "I should have chosen Romney/Obama" whenever they got lost. People yelling "Obama you are so confusing!" Pretty much it was a great night with great people.

The bestie and I also took a picture trying to look as evil as possible, because we're children of the corn.

Bestie also posted more pictures on her blog http://samswizzle.blogspot.com/2012/10/double-double.html

Homecoming

So yes my friends and I still go to our high school's homecoming game. Our Alma Mater is being torn down this summer, so we wanted to go get a few pictures in front of the high school before it's gone. I hadn't really been back to our high school since I graduated and it was very interesting being back. A flood of memories washed over me.

Cheerleading on the field. Homecoming Royalty. Got Milk photoshoot. FBLA meetings. Crush sodas for Valentines. Coca Cola tours. Long bus rides. Even longer bus rides when the football team lost a game.

Countless times of missing class with the bestie. The musicals. Madrigal performances. Cheerleading competitions. Sadies with Manu. Braces. Christmas season.

6 AM cheerleading practice. Mr Granger Performances. Seminary Council. Painting the Seminary Shield. Making Seminary videos. Chemistry class with Atkins. Swim meets.

G-Rides with Manu and Nate. Skyroom performance when Ty got drunk. The boys getting arrested. The boys coming back and talking about the horrible jail food.

Dances with the räpêr. Going to business conventions with the bestie. UBW. Girls State. The bestie and I were given the wrong topic for our business presentation. Senior class farewell assembly. Lots of laughter and tears. The list could go on and on.

It's amazing how things have changed, but I guess that's what happens with time. You move on to bigger and better things.

Pedal to the Metal

So my best friend and I? We like to do everything together.
Our latest adventure? Go karting.

We drove all the way out to Tooele to go to the raceway out there, but unfortunately NASCAR was there that day and no one could get on the track for several hours. So we ended up coming back to Salt Lake and going go karting here. We still had a great time and my best friend super kicked my butt. She's Fast and the Furious. I'm Driving Miss Daisy.

Some Things Never Change

We haven't been graduated for very long but we look for any reason to have reunions and see each other.
This reunion...was planned the night before so unfortunately not everyone could make it.
We went out for breakfast with the M&M crew. We were all in a group for Sadies our senior year and we definitely had a blast then and now.
We did breakfast at 8 in the morning. It was great getting back together. And of course our favorite thing? Chismea. We sure do love getting caught up on the latest gossip that has been happening in our lives and in our friends lives. It's crazy how much you actually miss out on even after not seeing someone only for a few weeks.

After breakfast, those of us that could go take some pictures did. Just for fun photoshoots are some of the funnest things to do. Ever.

Manu and I were the only couple left from the Sadies group that made it to pictures. Oh well, I guess that just means more pictures for us.

Manu still doesn't know how to give decent piggy back rides. My short arms were choking him the whole time we took this picture because he is so big my arms don't reach all the way around his neck.

I love my M&M crew girls

Big Time Summer 2012

My best friend and I may not be teenagers anymore, but we sure are teenagers at heart.
We bought tickets a few months ago to the Big Time Rush featuring Cody Simpson concert here in Utah.
I won't lie, I totally was a 16 year old fan girl. Carlos (the best looking BTR member) came 30 feet away from us when he came into the crowd. I almost cried.

We even ran into our friend Nora who we went to junior high and high school with. She's a big BTR fan also. She even dragged her little brother with her and he became our own unofficial photographer.

Also, we have this huge obsession with buying matching clothes and this was a perfect opportunity for us to buy some new matching shirts.
