Chanco, I Need To Borrow Some Esweats.

Richard, my construction management friend, came over a few days ago. He had just gotten back from playing basketball and he got all sweaty. So he borrowed his sister Selica's hoodie so he could get out of his esweaty t-shirt.
This is what appeared at my door that day.

Ladies, he's single.

Building A Bookshelf

Once upon a time, I bought a bookshelf. I brought it home and decided I would wait a few days until I had time to put it together. Finally Sunday rolls around and after church, I decided to put it together. I pulled all the pieces out of the box and then I realized...I don't have any tools. I asked my roommates if we had any and we pulled out a very sad looking hammer.
Luckily Richard was over at the house and he came to the rescue. He (being a BYU graduate with a major in construction management) has plenty of tools. 5 minutes later, we started on the bookshelf.

About an hour later, we finished the bookshelf. Richard turns to me and says, "I don't think you're gonna like me very much." I asked him why but turned around and saw the bookshelf. It looked like this:

I didn't really want a bookshelf that had crooked shelves. So we took another 20 minutes to finish it. But in the end it was beautiful. And that ladies and gentlemen is the story of what happens when you ask a construction management major to help you build a Walmart bookshelf.

Temples

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to the Brigham City Temple Dedication. It was my first temple dedication. Oh how I loved the speakers. One of my favorite parts was after Sis. Packer spoke, President Packer got up and said, "I quite like her a lot." I love couples that are still in love after 65 years of marriage.

Host Families Are Forever

While on tour with Living Legends my freshman year, we were in Washington when I had the opportunity to stay with the Hillebrant family. To this day, one of my favorite host families. Ever.
Their oldest daughter, Amelia, is now attending BYU. So the family came down to drop her off and we had a mini reunion.
Can I just tell you how good it was to see all of them again?

We reminisced on old times and talked about life now. I love that they haven't changed one bit. It's too bad that Branda, another Living Legend member, wasn't able to be there for our reunion, but Branda is on her mission in Peru serving the Lord and we couldn't be any happier for her.
Thank you Hillebrant family for opening your home to us and for taking the time to meet up a few weeks ago.

Birthday Boy

Happy birthday to the best dad ever.

PS: Can you tell this is the 90's?
