As all my readers know, my family is a fun loving family. My little sister? A weirdo. We didn't grow up going to Target until I was probably about 14 years old and then they built one just a mile or two away. We had always heard great things about Target and were so excited. We pull up and what's the first thing my sister and the rest of my family notices? These big giant weird looking balls right out front. And like I said, my family is always very interesting. What did they think the balls looked like? Something from a tampon commercial. These my friends, are now referred to as the period balls. Don't worry I still don't get the connection with it either. But she insisted that I blog about this. I'm still not sure what to say.

Sister Taliulu
Precious enters the MTC today to serve the people of the Denver North Mission. I can honestly say that this girl is truly an inspiration to me and many other people. I went to high school with Precious and over this past summer she was getting ready to move down to Provo to attend school at UVU until she found out, only weeks before the fall semester, that her mom had Stage 4 colon cancer. I can't even imagine knowing what she was going through since she had already been through this with her dad. Precious stayed home and took care of her family, especially to help out with her two younger siblings still in high school. As time went on, the mission age was changed and she put a lot of thought into serving a mission. After much deciding she finally put in her papers.
Just like when any missionary leaves, there's a bittersweet feeling. Of course its a little different for her knowing that this is the last time Precious will see her mom here on this earth. But how lucky we are to have the knowledge of eternal families and about life after death. Precious we are all so proud of you and praying for you.

It's Juicing Time!
So I recently found myself in possession of a juicer. Let's check that off my to buy list (thank you fellow coworker for the juicer). And for a few days I've been experimenting with what "recipes" I like the best. I'm not sure if you can call them recipes because you don't really cook.
Spinach and apples? Yuck.
Spinach and carrots and apples? Yuck.
Spinach and carrots and apples and oranges? Yummmmmm.
Here's my "recipe" this yummy concoction:
-1 large orange (I bought the Sunkist brand because they were on sale)
-1 large apple (I used a Fuji apple for this one, but I'm gonna try all different types)
-7 small baby carrots
-1/4 cup of spinach

I know in the picture it looks really gross. But I promise you it tastes so much better. If you don't believe me, TRY IT! And if you still think it's gross, then maybe you're wrong...or maybe I've just got some weird taste buds. I mean I prefer turkey burgers over hamburgers. But hey they're delicious, don't knock them until you try them.

Things I Love
Well, yesterday was Valentine's Day and I'm single again this year (for the 20th year in a row). But I actually really do enjoy Valentine's Day. So in honor of the day of love, I thought I'd make a list of the top 10 things I love (and in no particular order).
10. I love my Church and I love being LDS.
9. I love chocolate. And cookie dough. You don't wanna hear about the story of me eating cookie dough for 3 days straight and nothing else.
8. I love my friends who are always there for me and willing to drop anything to come help me.
7. I love BYU. Yep, sorry I said it. It's taken me 3 years of being a student here, but I finally admitted it (and for the whole world to see).
6. I love music. Life would not be complete without it. My current replayed song? Sad Beautiful Tragic by TSwift
5. I love dancing. I wish I was better at it. I think one of these days I should take an actual class. But until then Calle 116 will be enough for me.
4. I love food. And what's a better month to celebrate eating all the food you wand and love than February the month of love? Yep that folks is why the diet is not working.
3. I love my family. Straight up, I don't know where I'd be without my favorite four people ever. (And my dog too.)
2. I love to travel and see the world. Guess that's why I'm a tourism studies major.
1. And number one? I love love. There's nothing better than seeing an old couple still in love after years of marriage.
This years Valentine's Day? Not too bad. Luckily I've got some great people in my life. My roommate Katie and I had a woman date and saw Safe Haven (I highly suggest it for any chick flick night) and then I was surprised with flowers from Noke.

Holy Blazes! (Literally)
Yep another mission call. This time Blaze got his mission call and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he put in his papers all he said he wanted was to go to a big city. Well Blaze got his wish. Chicago look out here comes one of the hardest working kids I know.
March 20th is the day he leaves. Um, am I the only one who thinks that's so soon? But even though he'll leave us here at work, we are behind him 150% of the way.

Look at how happy that face looks!

Broken Bathroom
Yes Momi I am posting this. Yes Momi you're probably thinking I can't believe I talk to this girl. Yes Momi you still love me and we're still gonna be best friends. But hey what's a blog for if not to update everyone with your life? I came home from school one day last week and this is what I saw: a flooded bathroom and a nasty filled tub.
Luckily it wasn't sewer water. That would have been thee worst. I would have been gagging and just crawled back in bed...except for the fact that my bedroom is right by the bathroom. But luckily it wasn't sewer water. We called the repair man and what did he find? Roots in our main pipe. Didn't even know that was possible. But yes folks it is possible. And it is a pain. But that little incident is over now and the bathroom is just beautiful again.
